 January 12, 2007

u-blox America, Inc. delivered its 5,000,000th GPS receiver to Mobile Crossing, Inc., a manufacturer of rugged handheld GPS computers and personal navigation devices (PND). Mr. Nikolaos Papadopoulos, president of u-blox America, delivered the GPS receiver personally to Mr. Raymond Hou, CEO of Mobile Crossing, during a special ceremony held at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Also present during the ceremonial delivery was Mr. Hansjorg Sage representing 3i Deutschland, a significant investor in u-blox.

Rugged handheld devices like the Mobile Crossing WPX are built to higher standards of quality, durability and performance. Mobile Crossing officials say they chose u-blox's latest GPS receivers for the WPX for “their combination of low-power consumption, high accuracy and exceptional indoor performance.”

All WPX rugged computers come standard with SuperSense, the ultra-high sensitivity GPS technology from u-blox. The WPX is available immediately to system integrators and software developers as a GPS integrated platform.

Mobile Crossing also plans to release a consumer navigation system based on the WPX hardware in the coming months. The personal navigation device is extremely versatile and targets outdoors sportsmen and fashion-conscious drivers alike.

"We are honored to accept the 5 millionth u-blox GPS receiver shipped," said Mr. Hou.

"We are excited that Mobile Crossing has decided to use u-blox for its WayPoint X," said Mr. Papadopoulos. "Leaders such as Mobile Crossing are instrumental for u-blox's strategy to become the dominant GPS provider to the consumer navigation market."

"We are very impressed with u-blox's performance and how fast it has reached the five million receivers sold mark. We are very confident that u-blox will sustain this accelerated growth rate in the years to come," added Mr. Sage, Director at 3i Deutschland.
